- Set Time: Initial set in approximately 30 seconds. Can bear weight in 2.5 to 3 minutes.
- Once cured, it works like a natural hoof, allowing the use of nippers and rasps for shaping. Ideal for creating custom shoes directly on the hoof in minutes, especially when traditional nailing is not possible due to thin or brittle hoof walls. Can also be used for minor hoof wall defects, toe cracks, and to help hold thin, shelly hoof walls together.
- Foal Extensions: Excellent for creating custom medial, lateral, or toe extensions for foals, allowing for quick, layered applications and modifications during treatment.
- Corrective Shoeing: Can be applied to build up heels, correct heel angles, and provide support in cases of laminitis or other lamenesses, often in conjunction with Vettec Equi-Pak or Equi-Build
- HELPFUL TIPS:
- Preparation is Key: The hoof must be clean and thoroughly dried (often with a heat gun) for proper adhesion; the product may not bond well to hooves treated with oils, grease, or pine tar.
- Temperature Matters: Best used between 65°F and 85°F (18°C to 29°C). Colder temperatures will slow the set time, while hotter temperatures will speed it up.
- Safety: The product is for professional use only; always wear latex or rubber gloves during application.
- Layering: Additional layers can be applied if the previous one is rasped clean of dirt.
