The Meister Side Clipped horseshoe has all the strong features of the Meister, but plays even more into the German shoeing tradition. Thus, in this horseshoe, the Radius clips are between the first and second nail holes with enough material at the base to be reforged if necessary. The base of the front shoe also has the characteristic wider toe and heel sections that provide better support and balance for the horse. The V-crease has correctly placed nail holes and the branches of the shoe are slightly narrower to keep the horseshoe weight optimal. This horseshoe thus has a nice fit that allows for any adjustments to be made easily and quickly without any loss of quality. The Meister horseshoes are two sizes larger than the regular Kerckhaert numbering. In addition, the marking on the shoes is a 'D' instead of the familiar 'K'.
